The Cedar Creek Sailing Academy school boat, Morningstar, is a Ranger 23 - an ideal boat for learning to sail. She is a true all weather keelboat originally built to sail the San Francisco Bay. She has recently undergone several upgrades including a new mainsail, installation of lazy-jacks, new standing rigging, new sail covers, a new mainsail reefing system, a new four cycle 8 hp Yamaha motor  and a new main traveler system. Her sail inventory includes a 155% genoa, a 90% working jib, a full main, a 3/4 main and a spinnaker.
